Doghouse Oil Cooler Sealing Tin

Also known as "The Hoover Bit", this cooling tin replicates the original factory part by sending vital cooling air through the oil cooler where it's needed - keeping engine oil temperatures normal for increased engine longevity.

Without this part much of the vital cooling air will pass between the gap left between the oil cooler and the doghouse rather than flowing through the oil cooler.

Please note:

Most replacement oil coolers require approx. 1/8" trimming along the edge corner for the sealing frame to sit flush against the cooler. This is not a flaw with the sealing frame as this modification is required even when using the original VW part.

Some late model Mexican fan shrouds do not need and cannot be used with this part.
